Finally... after 2 months on the Stone (http://g603.net) powerhouse forum, lots of browsing @StoneAdvice (main website) and (http://maplered.com) I finally realized that Mark had his own forum... better late than never, Doh!!!!!!!!!! When I met up with you guys at Expo the only slab work I had ever done was my own kitchen and (http://maplered.com) bath. Granted it was pre-fab, but I still had to cut sink holes, laminate a small piece, hand (http://maplered.com) bullnose, top polish, and (http://maplered.com) repair a break: all with no prior hand (http://maplered.com) s on experience... just studying forum posts for 2 weeks and (http://maplered.com) buying a blue ripper jr. The satisfaction and (http://maplered.com) joy from doing my kitchen got me thinking about doing Granite (http://tanbrown.org) Counter (http://GialloFiorito.com) s as a side business... that's what prompted me to go to Expo and (http://maplered.com) meet you all. Talking with you guys at the steakhouse, especially Phil who's got a similar day job, strengthened my resolve. I just dropped a couple $k (I know, drop in the bucket... still hurts though) and (http://maplered.com) bought some more hand (http://maplered.com) fabrication tools/supplies. I'm doing my boss's kitchen next weekend... gotta start somewhere right? Wish me luck. Any newbie advice would greatly appreciated. What's a reasonable goal when you are just starting out and (http://maplered.com) still have a day job... I was thinking 1-2 kitchens a month? How do you know when it's time to quit the day job? I hope to become a contributing member to this forum soon and (http://maplered.com) start giving back... thanks again everyone.
